The identity for the brand Deep Rooted was built from scratch – this involved identifying the brand name, it's core values and proposition and designing its visual identity around these concepts. We wanted the name and visual identity to reflect the three value pillars: fresh, clean and community.


Logo

No two pieces of produce are exactly the same. The Deep Rooted Co. design language takes inspiration from this concept of uniqueness and represents it through raw, uneven characters.


The tagline 'Your Local Farmer' communicates the accessibility and freshness of the local produce. The form takes inspiration from stacked vegetable crates is not restricted to any particular arrangement. The pieces can be placed in any manner, just like crates themselves, to support one another.

Keeping the visual language image led as far as possible, we chose an earthy colour palette and a stencilled slab serif typeface (inspired by stencilled lettering on transport and packing crates) to work with the raw freshness of the brand world.
